Gospel Bass Masterclass- Shout 101 Edition

Welcome to Shout 101! If you are ready to take your shout playing to the next level then this is for you!

In this lesson you'll learn the key aspects and fundamentals that define the shout feel — the building blocks before you ever touch the groove. We will also touch some of the spiritual aspects of this genre.

- A full shout example, broken down section by section
- My approach on bass to each section, and the thinking behind every choice
- A handful of licks you can pull straight into your own playing
- What I think about when it's time to open up musically on bass — the mindset behind playing with freedom instead of just repeating patterns!
